COOKIE POLICY
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. Along with cookies, we also use browser Local Storage to ensure the bdcu.club platform runs smoothly natively on your mobile browser.
2. How We Use Cookies & Local Storage
- Authentication & Security: We use secure HTTP-only cookies and local storage to hold your session tokens (JWT). This powers our "sliding-window" refresh mechanism, allowing you to stay securely logged in without needing to frequently re-authenticate.
- User Preferences: Devices viewing bdcu.club will have their theme preference (Light or Dark mode) saved locally to ensure a consistent experience across sessions.
- Performance & Analytics: We track minimal feed engagement data anonymously to improve our Smart Feed ranking algorithm.
3. Third-Party Integrations
We integrate with a few selected third-party services that may place cookies on your device:
- Authentication Providers: Specifically Google OAuth, used to log you into the platform seamlessly.
- Push Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) instances which require device registration tokens.
4. Managing Your Cookies
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies or clear your local storage, you may not be able to use certain essential features of the platform, such as remaining logged in to your account.
